The Universal Language of Consilience is in the development towards
a system of clearly recognizing, understanding, and communicating
the unity of all knowledge, and the interrelationship of all complex
systems.
To establish consilience will be the proof that all systems--biological and technological--are
organized in terms of a small number of fundamental, natural principles.
In distinguishing these principles, and in developing a universal
metalanguage to communicate these principles (along side our standard
language)--we may begin to build bridges across the gaps of misunderstanding
that exists about the fragmented systems (social, economical,
ideological, etc.) of the world--towards a realization of the
unity that binds a global culture.
The Universal Language of Consilience is being constructed of
nine (9) distinct principles contained in Holonomic ParaSignifiers
(HPSs). An HPS is holonomic in the sense that--like a hologram--the knowledge contained within
the signifier can be applied to any system, signified across all
levels of organization, within a micro or macro context. Like
the fractalized nature of an oak tree--the whole is representative
of all parts, and each part of the whole.
An HPS may be represented through various modes and forms. One
such form is that of a Synaesthesic MetaGlyph (SMG): a visual
and audio representation of the principle being signified, compounding
meaning to the receiving consciousness through a degree of synaesthesia.
SMGs are being designed to be presentable through multimedia and
hypermedia forms of communication.
The power involved in forming a Universal Language of Consilience,
and utilizing such a system of communication may assist in transcending
the established paradigm of dualistic and reductionistic perception,
into one of the holistic and interrelated perception that is to
become our reality.
