And indeed, their temporal managment system is a little more complex than our own. Due to the extreme variences in light, temperature, and duration of any given day--Kamian engineers designed complex mechanical algorithms into their clocks, and synthesised a special liquid inside this hour-glass that adjusts its viscosity according to external temperature and light--thereby syncronising its cycle of flow according to the fluid hour. I spent hours on this. And I can watch it for even longer. |
