Wind Velocity (1997): [KPT Bryce 2.0] My first post-Burning Man (1997) inspiration. In Burning Man (1998), I actually brought with me three tomato plant garden cages, bamboo rods, and some gold mylar to re-create this scene in real space. Unfortunately, the actual wind velocity at Buring Man that year was so extreme--people's tents and geodesic domes got toppled. My mylar sculptures didn't stand a chance ... burned by the hot wind itself. Might there be such a thing as digital wind? |
